Before You Donate: Quick Checklist

Does it work?

Appliances and electronics must be in working order. Test before donating—broken items cost charities money to dispose of.

Is it clean?

No major stains, pet hair, or odors on furniture. A quick wipe-down or wash goes a long way.

Is it safe?

No recalled items (check CPSC.gov), broken glass, or sharp edges. Cribs and car seats have strict safety standards.

Too Much to Donate Yourself?

We'll do the heavy lifting! When we handle cleanouts, we sort through items to find those that can be donated. For every item we donate, we provide you with a receipt.
